Take a little backpack along the hike that will help you acclimatize and enjoy your trip. After the Everest base camp and Kalapattar, we head towards the Lobuche base camp. From Kathmandu, a scenic flight to Lukla (2800 m) takes about 30 to 35 minutes. There are many lodges and an airline office in Lukla. From Lukla, the trail descends steeply to Chablung (2700 m), where it meets the Tharo Koshi, also known as the Kusum Kanguru Khola (river). The trail ascends to Ghat (2,590 m) and then climbs once more to Phakding after crossing the Tharo Kosi Bridge. To get your first glimpse of the tall peaks, climb up to the gompa in Phakding. Through icy, steep trails, you will approach the southern ridge.  Finally, it's time to use the ropes, crampons, and ice axes. Your guide will assist you as you climb the challenging portions of Lobuche Peak.  A 45-degree hill will be your final ascent before you reach the summit of Lobuche Peak.
